  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt to taste

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through, then remove chicken from skillet and set aside
  3. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet, once melted add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, then add thyme, oregano, and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the butter sauce over the top, simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow flavors to meld, then garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately

Notes

For the most tender chicken, don't overcrowd the skillet - cook in batches if needed. The key to authentic Texas Roadhouse flavor is using real butter rather than substitutes. Chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
