- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through, then remove chicken from skillet and set aside
- Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet, once melted add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, then add thyme, oregano, and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the butter sauce over the top, simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow flavors to meld, then garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately
Notes
For the most tender chicken, don't overcrowd the skillet - cook in batches if needed. The key to authentic Texas Roadhouse flavor is using real butter rather than substitutes. Chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
