Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Pour in chicken broth and scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add cooked chicken and pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat everything in the creamy garlic butter sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and stir until melted. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and serve immediately.
Notes
Use high-quality butter for best flavor, don't overcrowd the pan when cooking chicken, adjust smokiness with extra smoked paprika, add extra heavy cream for creamier texture, prep ingredients in advance for faster preparation
