Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil, making sure they're evenly coated.
  3. Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they're not overcrowded.
  4. Roast for 12-15 minutes, or until the beans are tender and starting to brown around the edges. Halfway through cooking, give the pan a shake to ensure even roasting.
  5. While the beans are roasting, mix together the minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  6. Remove the beans from the oven and immediately toss them with the garlic-Parmesan mixture and lemon juice.

Notes

Choose fresh beans that snap when bent. Don't overcrowd the baking sheet - use two if needed. Fresh garlic provides the best flavor. Serve immediately for maximum crispiness. Customize with red pepper flakes or different herb blends.
