Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash the green beans thoroughly and pat them completely dry with a clean kitchen towel. Trim the ends off the beans.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using. Add the green beans and toss until they're evenly coated with the oil mixture.
  4. Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they're not overcrowded.
  5. Roast for 12-15 minutes, tossing halfway through, until the green beans are tender-crisp and slightly browned around the edges.
  6. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh lemon juice. Toss gently to combine while the beans are still hot.
  7. Serve immediately while warm and crispy.

Notes

For the crispiest results, make sure green beans are completely dry before tossing with oil. Don't overcrowd the baking sheet - use two sheets if making a larger batch. Reheat leftovers in oven to maintain crispiness.
