- In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, extra-virgin olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir gently to mix all the ingredients and let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush each slice lightly with olive oil. Toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until the edges are golden and crisp.
- Once the bread is toasted, rub each slice with a garlic clove for extra flavor. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice of toasted bread. Garnish with additional basil leaves if desired.
- Bruschetta is best served fresh while the bread is still crispy. Enjoy it as a starter or a light snack!
